Recess Shuttle Schedule

The following is a schedule of the transportation service arranged by Alfred University for students to get to/from Greater Rochester transportation hubs (airport, bus terminal, Amtrak Station). The dates for this service coincide with academic recesses. To secure a seat reservation, you must complete an online request no later than 24 hours prior to the shuttle run unless otherwise noted. Purchasers MUST have complete flight/bus/train information at time of scheduling. Not all shuttles will operate unless there are confirmed reservations.

Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. Airport pick up is at the baggage claim area outside. Pick up at Alfred University is outside the first floor entrance of the Powell Campus Center unless otherwise noted**.

Greater Rochester (airport, bus terminal, Amtrak Station)

Shuttle space is limited, so please sign up as soon as possible. You will receive a confirmation email about your spot by the Office of Residential Communities within 48 hours of your shuttle. Students are asked to arrive at the shuttle pick-up spot 15 minutes prior to the shuttle's departure. 

Registration requires you use your official Alfred University email/login credentials.

New York City - Port Authority

Friday and Sunday departures through MegaBus are once again running from Alfred! This Port Authority NYC shuttle costs $75 each way per traveler (paid to the provider). Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the trip. Please note: when selecting your bus ticket, please book it from 11 West University St. Alfred NY. Orvis Activities Center is Alfred State College. Reserve your trip (via Port Authority NYC) now!

If you need other travel arrangements or transportation services, we encourage you to contact Luxury Limousine of Hornell, NY. Luxury Limos offers airport transportation to and from your departure and destination cities such as Rochester, Elmira, Syracuse, Buffalo, Toronto, Philadelphia, and all New York city vicinity airports. Their car service provides direct pick-ups and transport to any destination via private vans, sedans and SUVs. Students are responsible making their own arrangements with this company.
