Pre-Health Equestrian with a Dream of Working in the ER
From her very first Sunday morning at the local Collegiate restaurant enjoying chocolate chip pancakes with her best friend, Alissa Altadonna found her community in Alfred. The tight-knit community and rural environment fostered her education and academic journey; a learning environment with small classes that allow for exclusive time with professors. Focusing on her studies, Alissa will achieve her goal of becoming a Physician’s Assistant.
Alfred not only focuses on academics but provides students with a wide range of extracurricular activities that boost their academic performance, promote teamwork, and improve time management. The equestrian program sparked a great excitement for Alissa who’s been riding horses since she was 7 years old and knew it was “perfect” for her. She is also highly involved in the Biology and Pre-Health club.
The professors, equestrian program, and the chances to make new friends are what Alissa has enjoyed most about her time at Alfred University. Upon graduating in 2022, Alissa plans on continuing her education to become a physician’s assistant in an emergency room.
